Austin Pruitt pitched three scoreless innings on Monday against the Tigers, striking out three while allowing one hit and one walk.
Fantasy Impact:
Pruitt has been competing with Josh James for the final spot in Houston's rotation. However, it now looks like both pitchers will get a chance to begin the year in the rotation as Justin Verlander is set to open the season on the injured list.
