Cardinals shortstop Paul DeJong went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in a win over the Pirates on Thursday.
Fantasy Impact:
DeJong's homer in the fourth inning tied the ballgame for the Cardinals. It was the 16th home run of the season for the veteran shortstop who has hit safely in five of his past six games with a pair of homers in that span. If you play in a deep league and need some power, DeJong has proven in his career to offer solid fantasy value from time-to-time. However, the .204 batting average is a tough pill to swallow.
