Roansy Contreras allowed no runs on three hits and two walks while striking out five in five innings pitched during Tuesday's 2-1 loss against the Rockies.
Fantasy Impact:
In his first start of 2022, Contreras worked masterfully through five, allowing only three hits and hitting the strike zone in 67% of his pitches. The 22-year-old is one of Pittsburgh's top pitching prospects and is an exciting player to have in dynasty leagues. Whether Contreras remains with the big league club is yet to be known but if not, he should make several more appearances as 2022 progresses.
