Isaac Paredes doubles twice in loss to Guardians

by Andersen Pickard | Rays Correspondent | Mon, Aug 1st 9:09am EDT

Rays first baseman Isaac Paredes went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles against the Guardians on Sunday. Although he struck out once, he also scored two of the Rays' runs in the contest. It turned out to be all for naught, though, as Tampa Bay ultimately fell to Cleveland by a score of 5-3.

Fantasy Impact:

Paredes is slashing .220/.292/.487 with 14 homers, 29 RBI, 19 walks, and 38 strikeouts this season. He's hitting just .140 over his last 15 games, so there's no denying that the Rays would love to see him get back to the level of production that he displayed in June (.271/.362/.712 with eight home runs).
