Chris Taylor hits solo homer in Dodgers rout of Padres Sunday

by Josh Thiessen | Dodgers Correspondent | Mon, Sep 12th 11:50am EDT

Chris Taylor went 1-for-4 at the plate on Sunday, hitting a solo homer, and striking out once as the Dodgers went on to pummel the Padres in a 11-2 game.

Fantasy Impact:

Taylor's home run Sunday boosted his total to a rather small amount of nine on the season, which ranks well below league average. The Dodgers' utility man is batting .22 on the season with an OPS of .690, both of which also rank well below league average. The 32-year-old has had a tough time behind the plate this season as he is striking out a rather high 35.8% of the time, for now he should be viewed as nothing more than the occasional stream play.
