Blake Snell completely shuts down Cardinals in win

by Kendall Capps | Giants Correspondent | Thu, Sep 22nd 1:46am EDT

Blake Snell struck out 13 batters in a 1-0 win over the Cardinals Wednesday. He allowed just two hits and walked two in the dominating start taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning.

Fantasy Impact:

After some early-to-mid season turbulence for Snell, he has really found his groove in the second half of the season. After Wednesday's performance, he lowered his ERA to 3.62 to go with 159 strikeouts in just 117 innings. Those are K numbers reminiscent of his glory days in Tampa. He will get at least one more start in the regular season against the Dodgers next week. He could also draw one final start against either the White Sox or Giants to close out the regular season.
