The Detroit Tigers have signed catcher Andrew Knapp to a minor-league contract. (Evan Petzold on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

The minor-league pact comes with an invitation to MLB spring training. The 31-year-old switch hitter has hit .209 with 13 home runs and a 69 wRC+ across 325 big-league contests. Knapp struggled mightily across three organizations last season, hitting .128 with zero homers and a 22 wRC+ across 46 trips to the plate. He'll likely serve as Triple-A catching depth with the Tigers in 2023.
