Gordon has chance to win appeal

by Matthew Adam | Wed, Jul 30th 4:43pm EDT

Josh Gordon now has a slight chance of avoiding an indefinite suspension for the upcoming NFL season. The plan outlined by Gordon's agent and lawyer is to use the argument that Gordon was subjected to secondhand smoke and therefore failed the subsequent drug test. Grossi feels there is a perfect storm of events working in Gordon's favor by putting pressure on the NFL. These include Ray Rice only getting suspended two games for domestic violence and Colts Owner Jim Irsay getting arrested in March for driving while intoxicated. (Tony Grossi)

Fantasy Impact:

Fantasy owners would be wise to keep an eye on the proceedings this Friday, August 1. If Gordon's expected year-long suspension is lowered to eight games or less, he becomes an attractive target in dynasty leagues and worth a late round pick in redraft leagues with deep benches.
