DeShone Kizer could open 2017 as starter

Cleveland Browns beat writer Mary Kay Cabot believes quarterback DeShone Kizer "is on the fast track" to win the starting job for the 2017 season. (Cleveland.com)

Per reports, Kizer has been attached to Browns head coach Hue Jackson's hip at OTAs. As a result, the rookie signal caller is not only learning his position from a highly-touted offensive mind and quarterback whisperer, but he is also receiving reps with the first unit, taking them away from presumed starter Cody Kessler. If Kizer continues to impress, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him under center in Week 1.
