Trent Williams officially signs contract with 49ers

49ers LT Trent Williams officially signed his contract Friday. He’ll receive half of his $12.5M salary in 2020 as a bonus. (Ian Rapoport on Twitter)

Williams also passed his physical, so he can get to work right away with his new team. He’s replacing the retired Joe Staley on the left side of the line, an important role in protecting QB. Jimmy Garoppolo. Still thought of as one of the best Tackles in the NFL, Williams will look to prove himself on what has the makings of a Super Bowl contender this season.
