Trey Lance knocked around in Sunday's loss to the Cards

by Jon Mathisen | Cowboys Correspondent | Mon, Oct 11th 2:11am EDT

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance completed 15-of-29 passes for 192 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception. He also picked up 89 yards rushing on 16 carries in Sunday's Week 5 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Fantasy Impact:

Lance had his work cut out for him on Sunday with the Cardinals' defense gunning for him all afternoon. He was only sacked twice but was under constant duress throughout the game. His accuracy, or lack thereof, remains an issue but he showed his upside on the ground, leading the Niners in carries and yards. Lance is still very raw and has a ways to go if he's going to lead this offense going forward. Jimmy Garoppolo (calf) will likely be back under center in Week 7 following the 49ers bye so we should expect Lance to return to his backup/gadget role.
