Mayo said that to draft a QB at No. 3, you have to "really be in love with the guy." It's impossible to know right now how the top QBs in the NFL Draft (Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels) stack up for the Pats, but it's possible that if their guy doesn't fall to No. 3, a pivot to Marvin Harrison Jr. or even a trade down could be possible.
