Patriots view QB as 'priority' but not 'dead set' at position

by Jordan Epp | Patriots Correspondent | Sun, Mar 24th 1:54pm EDT

New England Patriots head coach Jerod Mayo said the team views quarterback as the "priority right now" in the 2024 NFL Draft but is not "dead set" on drafting one in this year's draft. (Coral Smith, nfl.com)

Fantasy Impact:

Mayo said that to draft a QB at No. 3, you have to "really be in love with the guy." It's impossible to know right now how the top QBs in the NFL Draft (Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, Jayden Daniels) stack up for the Pats, but it's possible that if their guy doesn't fall to No. 3, a pivot to Marvin Harrison Jr. or even a trade down could be possible. Mayo even said QB Jacoby Brissett could "absolutely be" the Patriots' starter in 2024
