Freddie Freeman doubles, hits solo shot Tuesday

by Steve Painter | Dodgers Correspondent | Tue, Mar 13th 7:47pm EDT

Freddie Freeman went 3-for-3 with a double and solo homer in Tuesday's spring game against the Blue Jays, adding an RBI and a run scored. For the spring, he is 9-for-28 with three runs scored, three doubles, one homer, two RBIs, one walk, and four strikeouts. His stat line is .321/.345/.536 with a .881 OPS.

Fantasy Impact:

Freeman is like the Energizer Bunny, he just keeps rocking along, unfazed that the team has been in rebuild mode in recent years. This year, he will have Ender Inciarte and Ozzie Albies in front of him, and Tyler Flowers/Ronald Acuna Jr. behind him. With Paul Goldschmidt dealing with a humidor in his home games, Freeman and Joey Votto are the top first basemen this year. Count on Freeman to have a terrific year, in the MVP conversation once again.
