Adrian Houser strikes out 10 in fifth win Saturday

by Connor Rooney | Mets Correspondent | Sun, Aug 11th 9:33am EDT

Adrian Houser (5-5) earned the win Saturday against the Rangers, allowing one run on three hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out 10.

Fantasy Impact:

Houser, who has been rumored to be heading to the bullpen, delivered his best start of the season Saturday night, reaching double digit strikeouts for the first time in 2019. His major blemish came in the form of a Danny Santana solo home run in the sixth, but otherwise he was lights out. His ERA is down to 4.00, and he has a 75:24 K:BB in 69.2 innings. He's likely earned another start, which should come Friday at the Nationals.
