White Sox manager Tony La Russa says that Yasmani Grandal threw for distance and took some light swings on Tuesday. The catcher underwent surgery to address a torn tendon in his left knee two weeks ago. (Daryl Van Schouwen on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

At a minimum, Grandal is on time in his recovery. However, La Russa hinted that he might even be ahead of schedule "because we thought he'd be limping and he doesn't limp." The 32-year-old All-Star was slashing an impressive .188/.388/.436 with 14 homers, 38 RBI, 60 walks, and 64 strikeouts prior to going down with his injury.
