Marcus Mariota could be limited in preseason

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey told the media the team will be "very cautious" this preseason with quarterback Marcus Mariota (leg). Mularkey added that the "goal" is to have Mariota ready for Week 1, "not [the] preseason." (Adam Schefter on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact:

Mariota is recovering from a broken leg suffered in Week 16 of the 2016 regular season. The 23-year-old signal caller is expected to miss spring workouts but should be available for the start of training camp that begins in late-July. However, Mularkey's recent comments suggest that Mariota will see limited preseason action as he wants his quarterback to be fully healthy and ready for Week 1. Mariota, who recently shed his walking boot and was spotted running on a Hawaii beach, appears to be on track in his recovery and barring a setback, he is not in danger of missing any regular season action. Look at Mariota as a rising low-end QB1 who could emerge as an every-week fantasy starter in 2017.
