Fantasy Impact:
Cam had ankle surgery this offseason and is also dealing with what the team has called a "hairline fracture in his ribs." Panthers beat writer, Jonathan Jones, also went on to say that Newton's absence from practice was, "about how he felt today" and that he was held out of practice because of his injured ribs. Panthers HC Ron Rivera is still "optimistic" his quarterback will start Sunday versus the Buccaneers. Cam's ribs and any lingering ankle issues is a situation to continue to monitor very closely.
