Diontae Johnson selected 66th overall by Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have selected Toledo WR Diontae Johnson with the 66th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

Fantasy Impact:

The Steelers have already traded away Antonio Brown and signed Donte Moncrief in a corresponding move this offseason to shake up their wide receiver corps. However, since James Washington didn't exactly look the part in his limited opportunities last season, the Steelers felt compelled to target another wideout in the draft, a position they historically have had success developing. On a crowded depth chart that includes the aforementioned Moncrief and Washington as well as JuJu Smith-Schuster and Ryan Switzer, Johnson might have a hard time seeing the field early in the year, but certainly has the upside to make an impact as the season grows older if/ when injuries and wear and tear being to weaken the players slated ahead of him.
