Sunday Stash Report: Week 6 (Fantasy Football)

Sunday Stash Report: Week 6 (Fantasy Football)

The Sunday Stash Report continues ahead of Week 6 after a very damaging Week 5 that saw a lot of important names go down. Last week’s Stash Report had only one important name, Elijah McGuire, who is poised to see a big workload in Week 6 as the only healthy Jets RB.

Fantasy owners are fresh off another week of injuries, and more underperformance from guys we thought might emerge (looking at you Latavius Murray). The goal here is to put a guy or two on the back of your roster that isn’t necessarily going to help you this week but instead next week or shortly after that.

Travis Rudolph (WR – NYG)
Everyone is talking about Roger Lewis as the new top WR for the Giants. Why not take a shot on Travis Rudolph? Eli Manning has to throw to someone, and Sterling Shepard is looking like he may miss more than one week.

While everyone else races to acquire Lewis, go out there and get the other guy. It’s worth a shot.

JuJu Smith-Schuster (WR – PIT)
He’s been here before, but he’s still quite underowned. Martavis Bryant simply isn’t that good. It’s only a matter of time before the rookie’s snaps start eating into Bryant’s.

Smith-Schuster has scored a touchdown in two of his last four games and has averaged five targets over those four games. If that goes up, he could be a viable WR3/4.

Kevin Hogan (QB – CLE)
After finally doing the right thing and benching the awful DeShone Kizer, the Browns offense got a spark from Kevin Hogan. He’s not the greatest QB talent, but in Week 7, Matt Stafford and Deshaun Watson are on byes while Philip Rivers and Jameis Winston have tough matchups.

If you need a QB streamer, grab Hogan now as the Browns face the very generous Titans defense in Week 7. Hogan could provide back-end QB1 numbers as he adds a rushing element to his game as well.

Ricardo Louis (WR – CLE)
More Browns? More Browns! Ricardo Louis has seen 17 targets over the past two weeks, yet he’s barely owned in any fantasy leagues.

The guy isn’t going to make or break your season, but he comes with a decent floor to cover bye weeks or injuries. Kevin Hogan seems to like him. He should be owned way more than he is.

Brice Butler (WR – DAL)
Brice Butler saw three targets in Week 1 and exactly two targets in each of the subsequent games. What exactly is the upside here? Well, for starters, he is exponentially more talented than Terrance Williams.

After Williams essentially cost the Cowboys their win over Green Bay by allowing a perfectly thrown pass to carom off his chest and into the waiting hands of a defender for a pick six, maybe, just maybe, Jason Garrett will finally start pushing Butler ahead of Williams in two-receiver sets.

Butler has some of the best measurables at the WR position in the entire league. Just give him a chance.
