Fantasy Baseball Injury Report: Chris Archer, Jose Abreu, Aroldis Chapman

It’s Week 21 of the fantasy season, and we’re back to give you all the latest injury updates for the fantasy baseball playoffs. This will be the final edition of the fantasy baseball injury report for 2018. As fantasy baseball season comes to an end, be sure to check out all of our fantasy football resources that will get you prepared for your draft.

Chris Archer came out of his last start as a precaution after experiencing discomfort in his left leg. He played catch on August 22 and had a bullpen session on August 23. Archer started on Sunday for the Pirates and should be good to go for this week, though he was not effective Sunday.

Jose Abreu underwent lower abdominal surgery on August 21. He is being shut down for at least two weeks and might be able to return at some point in September. He could also be done for the season given that the White Sox have little reason to rush him back.

Aroldis Chapman was placed on the 10-day disabled list on August 22. The Yankee closer had a PRP injection to treat tendonitis in his left knee.  He is scheduled to be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Here are a few more injuries we are tracking this week.
