SuperDraft Top NFL DFS Plays Week 3 (2020 Fantasy Football)

Welcome to SuperDraft. Tired of salary cap based DFS contests? In the mood for something refreshing and new? At SuperDraft, you can start any player available on the slate, and receive differing multiplier bonuses based on the players you plug in. Julio Jones, fantasy football legend, has just a 1x multiplier (which means no bonus). However, if you start someone with upside, but as inconsistent as Diontae Johnson, you get a 1.7x multiplier. The multipliers vary, making for some interesting strategy sessions as you have to pit raw production against multiplier production when making lineup decisions. It is important not to get too cute in setting lineups by chasing high multipliers only, as a combination of high floor, and high multiplier based upside usually leads to ideal results as far as finishing in the money. Let’s take a look at some of this weekend’s top plays.

Jonathan Taylor (RB – IND): 1.45x multiplier

Jonathan Taylor exploded in his first career start. His yards per carry has not been great to this point of the season, but he is a talented back who is bound to course-correct as the NFL game begins to slow down for him. The New York Jets just may be the tonic to cure Taylor yards per carry woes. They have been fantasy-friendly for sure, giving up the 10th most fantasy points to opposing running backs, but they have also has surrendered 111.25 rushing yards per game to opposing running backs at a targetable five yards per carry. The numbers don’t tell the whole story, so let’s take a deeper look at the Jets rushing yards against this season.

In Week 1, both Devin Singletary and Zack Moss struggled on the ground, combining for less than three yards per carry. It was actually Josh Allen who led the team in rushing. Week 2 is what gave us a better picture of how susceptible the Jets are on the ground. New York allowed 182 rushing yards to the San Francisco 49ers on a scintillating 6.3 yards per attempt. They leaked all those yards despite starter Raheem Mostert being injuring his ribs and seeing just eight carries. Tevin Coleman, the 49ers top backup, was also injured in the contest.

The 1.45x multiplier looks fantastic for Taylor but could cause some chalk based on expected production and opponent. Taylor is nobody’s secret anymore. Taylor is listed as scoring just 11.9 fantasy points per game at SuperDraft, with that number jumping to 17.3 with the 1.45x multiplier. However, by clicking on his player page we can see that SuperDraft has not updated their front-facing numbers, leaving a potential opportunity here. Taylor scored 20 fantasy points in Week 2 at SuperDraft, pre-multiplier. This gives him 15.95 on the year, a number that screams up to 23.12 with the multiplier. Start him in the cupcake matchup.

Kyler Murray (QB – ARI): 1.15x multiplier

Kyler Murray has been absolutely on fire to start the season, and it has not really been due to the loaded wide receiver room he has now with DeAndre Hopkins on the team. He has thrown for 258 passing yards per game with one passing touchdown per contest. These numbers would actually be a massive disappointment if he was not feeding Deandre Hopkins and using his legs more than many expected.

Murray has 158 rushing yards through two weeks of the season. Want context? Murray is ninth in the league, overall, in rushing yards. His three rushing touchdowns through two weeks ties him for third in the league. There is no way he meets his pace numbers, but they are still fun to muse at, Murray is on pace for 1,264 rushing yards and 24 rushing touchdowns.

Listed at 27.3 fantasy points per game at SuperDraft, Kyler Murray also benefits from SueprDraft failing to update their front-facing numbers. With the 1.15x multiplier, Murray is at 31.35 fantasy points per game, enough to make him the quarterback to target this week. However, Murray scored 33.14 fantasy points in Week 2. This means his actual average is 30.22 fantasy points per game and 34.75 points per game with the 1.15x multiplier. If you were not convinced to start Murray by now, you won’t be swayed. Start him if looking for a high upside, high floor play.

D.K. Metcalf (WR – SEA): 1.3x multiplier

D.K. Metcalf has been one of the hottest wide receivers in the league to this point of the season. The fact that he has a 1.3x multiplier will undoubtedly make him a chalky play, so do not be surprised to see his final rostered numbers be well over the 50 percent mark. D.K. Metcalf has averaged seven targets, four receptions, 93.5 receiving yards, and one touchdown per game through two weeks the season and will be facing a suspect Cowboys secondary surrendering the sixth-most fantasy points to enemy wide receivers. Metcalf doesn’t just have 100 receiving yard potential this week, he has 150 receiving yard potential. Metcalf has scored 17.5 fantasy points per game at SuperDraft this season, a number that soars to 22.8 per contest with his staggering 1.3x multiplier. Chalk gonna chalk, but get him in your lineup at SuperDraft.
