Dynasty Rookie PPR Mock Draft

1.03 Garrett Wilson (WR – NYJ)

Garrett Wilson‘s yards after the catch ability will be a godsend for Zach Wilson. His production profile against top competition at Ohio State is impeccable. He’s been top 30 in yards per route run in each of the last two seasons (minimum 50 targets, per PFF). This team needed to add talent around their young franchise quarterback, and this accomplishes that goal. Elijah Moore and Wilson give Zach Wilson a versatile pairing to pepper with targets. Wilson’s talent isn’t in question, but his dynasy ceiling could be capped unless Zach Wilson can take a step forward in year two.

2.03 Rachaad White (RB – TB)

Despite inking Leonard Fournette to a new three-year deal, resigning Giovani Bernard, and still having incumbent Ke’Shawn Vaughn on the roster, the team spent a third-round draft pick on Rachaad White. White followed up his final season at Arizona State, where he racked up 3.38 yards after contact per attempt and 2.25 yards per route run (ninth, minimum 20 targets per PFF) by blowing up the combine. White finished with an 84th percentile speed score and 87th percentile burst score. This looks like a crowded backfield on paper, but the team has shown the willingness to utilize one back as a do-it-all rusher and receiver. This would leave White as the Uncle Len backup plan with workhorse upside if the injury bug bit Fournette.

3.03 Khalil Shakir (WR – BUF)

Khalil Shakir might not have received late Day 3 draft capital (fifth-round), but he was gifted with a juicy landing spot. Shakir sits behind Jamison Crowder, who is on a one-year deal, and special teams players like Jake Kumerow and Isaiah McKenzie for snaps. Shakir is a versatile receiver who can play both inside and on the perimeter. He’s a player worth bookmarking for a middle-round pick who could be a starter in the Buffalo offense in 2023.

4.03 Romeo Doubs (WR – GB)

Romeo Doubs is the dollar store investment version of Christian Watson. The Packers selected Doubs in the fourth round to help fill out their questionable receiving depth chart. Doubs checks all the boxes for a player to go hunting for to fill out the bottom of your dynasty roster. He finished his career at Nevada above the 60th percentile in college dominator, yards per reception, target share, and breakout age. Add in he’s tied to Aaron Rodgers for at least the next four seasons, and it’s not difficult to imagine this blindly tossed dart landing on a bullseye.
