Alex Wood surrenders five runs in short outing Thursday

Alex Wood did not factor into the decision Thursday against the Cubs, allowing five runs on eight hits and one walk across three innings. He struck out two.
Fantasy Impact:
After allowing two runs in each of his first two starts back from the injured list, Wood was far less effective Thursday. He was tagged for eight hits in three innings, three of which went for extra bases. The rough outing raised Wood's season ERA to 5.65 in 14.1 innings. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, Tuesday on the road against the Nationals.
