David Dahl has signed a minor-league contract with the Phillies. (Source: Joel Sherman on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Dahl's deal will be made official after he passes a physical exam. The veteran outfielder saw the vast majority of his time in Triple-A between the Padres and Dodgers system last year, posting an .818 OPS with nine homers across 313 plate appearances at that level. Dahl also got nine ABs at the beginning of the season for the Padres. Dahl is a career .271 hitter over 331 MLB games, but he has not seen significant action in the bigs since 2021. He will try to land a spot with the Phillies this spring.

Fantasy Impact: The Phillies will carry 12 pitchers, but Lorenzen will not be one of them after a rough end to the season with a 5.51 ERA and 5.81 FIP since the beginning of August. He could still be added to a future series roster but will sit in the best-of-three series with the Marlins.

Fantasy Impact: The Phillies are stacking right-handed bats against Mets lefty David Peterson on Thursday, giving Pache the starting nod in left field. Acquired just prior to Opening Day, Pache has had a nice year with a .266 average alongside two homers, one steal, and an .838 OPS in an injury-shortened 72 plate appearances.
