NFL DFS Stacking Options for Week 13

NFL DFS Stacking Options for Week 13

After a week off due to Thanksgiving from writing the stacks column, I’m back at it for lucky Week 13.

I like the stacking options this week, especially in the passing game. This week I am also including a bonus “longshot” stack that if it hits could propel you up the DFS standings with one play.

Note: All salaries are from FanDuel, but stacks can be considered for any DFS site.

So, with that let’s stack’em up for Week 13.

QB Phillip Rivers (LAC): $8,000 / WR Keenan Allen (LAC): $8,100 / TE Hunter Henry (LAC): $5,400 / DEF Los Angeles Chargers: $5,300
Phillip Rivers and the Chargers appear to be starting their annual late-season push to get try to get into the playoffs. They have scored a total of 82 points over the last two weeks and now get to face the winless Browns at home. Despite giving up a big game to Joe Mixon last week, the Browns have been much better against the run than the pass this season which plays right into the red-hot Rivers and Keenan Allen connection.

You can stop there if you want but the Browns have also allowed the second most fantasy point to opposing TEs which puts Hunter Henry in play. Meanwhile, on the other side of the ball, the Browns have also given up four sacks and over two turnovers per game over the last five weeks. Bring on the Chargers’ blowout!

Bring it back with: Duke Johnson Jr. (CLE): $5,700

QB Jameis Winston (TB): $7,300 / WR Mike Evans (TB): $7,500
Jameis Winston returns from injury and walks right into a great matchup against the Packers’ weak secondary. The Packers have allowed almost 300 passing yards per game over the last five weeks with most of the production coming from opposing WRs.

Nobody is happier to have Winston back than WR Mike Evans who caught five touchdown passes from Winston during the first seven games with Winston and caught none over the last two and a half games without him. Davante Adams is a strong “bring it back” option on the other side but if you want to get contrarian then consider Jordy Nelson.

Bring it back with: Davante Adams (GB): $6,500

QB Marcus Mariota (TEN): $7,400 / WR Corey Davis (TEN): $5,900
Marcus Mariota has only thrown for multiple touchdown passes in two games this season and hasn’t had a blow-up game yet this season. This week could be his opportunity against a Texans’ defense that is riddled with injuries and has allowed over 300 passing yards and 2.4 TD passes per game over the last five weeks. You could use Mariota “naked” (no WR or TE), but I’m still bullish on rookie Corey Davis to put together a breakout game at some point this season.

If Rishard Matthews is out on Sunday, Davis could put it together this week in a favorable matchup. The Texans are also the perfect team to stack with since DeAndre Hopkins get so much of the target share in Houston.

Bring it back with:  DeAndre Hopkins (HOU): $8,000

RB Leonard Fournette (JAC): $8,700 / DEF Jacksonville Jaguars: $5,600
It feels like I recommend a Leonard Fournette/Jaguars defense stack every week. Well, this week is not different with both in a great situation as a big home favorite against the Colts. The Jaguars’ defense should set the tone as they racked up 10 sacks and threw a shutout against the Colts earlier this season in Indianapolis.

Fournette didn’t play that day, but his backups went on to compile 26 carries for 169 yards and two scores. I’d like to think that Fournette could duplicate those numbers in a favorable game script at home.

RB Marshawn Lynch (OAK): $6,200 / DEF Oakland Raiders: $4,600
Marshawn Lynch saw a season-high 26 carries last week and while his per carry average (2.58) wasn’t too impressive it was at least good to see that the Raiders were willing to use him that often after not topping 14 carries since Week 1. Lynch could be in for another larger workload this week with the Raiders’ passing game missing both Michael Crabtree (suspension) and Amari Cooper (concussion).

They also could be working with a favorable game script, playing at home as more than a touchdown favorite at home against the Giants. The Raiders’ defense also became an intriguing option as soon as the Giants chose to bench Eli Manning in favor of Geno “pick six” Smith.

BONUS: Longshot Stack

WR Tyreek Hill (KC): $6,900 / DEF Kansas City Chiefs: $4,600
Okay, hear me out. Hill is the punt returner for the Chiefs and can bust a long play at any time. The Chiefs’ offense has been struggling, so look for Hill to take some extra chances when returning punts to try to put points on the board. Meanwhile, he will face a Jets’ team that has punted the seventh most times while allowing the sixth most punt returns and the eighth most yards per return this season.

They also allowed a punt return for a touchdown to the Panthers just last week. Yes, it is a longshot, but it is a combo almost nobody will have, so if it hits you will shoot up the standings with the double touchdown for Hill and the Chiefs defense/special teams.
