Brock Purdy
SF (vs . SEA)
The playoff schedule for the 49ers is fantastic - so I'd be trying to get at least one Niner on my bench for the playoff run. Whether that be QB Brock Purdy or one of their discounted WR pieces. If anybody was dropped during the bye week...scoop them up.

Worth noting that this playoff/late-season schedule could be tough on Caleb Williams. Up next from Week 15 onward: Browns, Packers and then 49ers in Week 17.

20.
C.J. Stroud
HOU (vs . IND)
C.J. Stroud completed 15 of 31 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown in the Texans' Week 14 win over the Chiefs. Stroud was pressured 19 times for a 54.3% pressure rate, the 2nd-highest of his career, completing 6 of 16 passes under pressure for 114 yards and a touchdown while taking 3 sacks. He was effective on play action early in the evening, finishing 5 of 7 for 107 yards on such dropbacks, all of which occurred in the first half (Next Gen Stats). The Texans DST/Kicker has the No. 1 schedule in the fantasy postseason: Cardinals, Raiders, and Chargers. However, it is conversely bad for QBs (bottom-3) and WRs (bottom-10). Leave C.J. Stroud on waivers unless you need him just for Week 15 (versus Arizona). In three of the last five games Stroud started and finished, he threw for at least 230 yards.

J.J. McCarthy
MIN (vs . GB)
J.J. McCarthy threw 3 touchdowns for the first time in his NFL career against the Commanders, completing 16 of 23 passes for 163 yards.
Two TDs to Josh Oliver (helping no one) and one TD to T.J. Hockenson. Oliver out-snapped Hockenson. McCarthy averaged 2.56 seconds to throw, his quickest in any game this season by more than a quarter of a second. He completed 10 of his 11 quick throws for 85 yards and 2 touchdowns (Next Gen Stats). An efficient day for the second-year QB versus a terrible defense, where he wasn't asked to do too much. The hope is he can build confidence after this game...and build on it against a bad Cowboys secondary in Week 15. |
