If you faded Todd Gurley or James Conner, who were the popular running back plays last week, chances are that you didn’t manage to double up your investment on FanDuel. While it may not always be the case, it happens more often than not that the popular plays tend to be the wise players to roster. Today, I’ll show you the top five players at each position in our projected ownership model. These numbers may change between the publishing of this article and opening kickoff depending on injury report updates so make sure to keep that in consideration.

Quarterback
There is not a quarterback that stands out far above the rest of the pack this week at the quarterback position. I’d imagine that if the Chiefs at New England game were an option on the main-slate that Patrick Mahomes would be upwards of 30% even with a lofty price, but he is not an option this week. Instead, we expect over 50% of lineups to use one of three options. The first is Deshaun Watson, who hasn’t quite been a superstar again this season, but has a great home matchup against the Buffalo Bills. Not far behind him are Jameis Winston and Matt Ryan who square off in Atlanta for a potential shootout. This game currently has an over/under set at 58 points so both plays appear to be safe and with enormous upside. Rounding out the top five are Cam Newton, who’s running ability provides FanDuel lineups a safe floor, and Andy Dalton who also has an excellent matchup versus the Steelers.
