Welcome to Week 14 of the NFL season everyone. As of the time this article is being written, there are no bye weeks and a normal schedule consisting of only Sunday games and one Monday night game. Of course, by the time everyone reads this article, we might be having a game on Tuesday, Wednesday, and even Thursday. As of now, there’s a total of six games on Sunday that have totals of 49.5 or higher. There’s going to be plenty of scoring this weekend and with that plenty of variations that should be cash-game relevant.
I’m considering each of the players below for cash game lineups this week:
Win $1 Million playing FanDuel’s NFL Sunday Million
Quarterbacks
Ryan Tannehill (TEN): $7,900 at Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars are giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to the quarterback position and are in the top-10 for fantasy points allowed to every other position as well. The only thing that might curtail a monster game from Tannehill in this one is teammate Derrick Henry going bonkers.
Ryan Tannehill ranks No. 1 in the #NFL in…
– 4th quarter comebacks (4)
– Game-winning drives (5)
– % of drives ending in an offensive TO (4.4)He's top 5 in…
– Passing TDs – 26 (5th)
– TD% (4th)
– INT% (5th)
– Adjusted YPA (4th)
– Yds gained per pass completion (3rd) #Titans— Emily Proud (@emily_proud) December 7, 2020
Justin Herbert (LAC): $8,300 vs. Atlanta Falcons
I’m not putting much into last week’s debacle against the New England Patriots. Bill Belichick has historically fared well against rookie quarterbacks, despite the Patriots defense clearly showing signs of regression this year. While the Falcons defense has also had a significant upgrade since Raheem Morris took over, they are still allowing opposing quarterbacks to march up-and-down the field through the air and on the ground. The Falcons have managed to get solid pressure on opposing quarterbacks this season, ranking ninth in the NFL in pressure percentage, however, Herbert has fared well under pressure with the exception of last week.
Justin Herbert grade under pressure:
⚡ Weeks 1-12: 71.5 (1st)
⚡ Week 13: 48.7 (18th) pic.twitter.com/t4cZQYeVF2— PFF (@PFF) December 8, 2020
Other notables: Matt Ryan (ATL): $7,300 @ LAC; Taysom Hill (NO): $7,700 @ PHI
Running Backs
Aaron Jones (GB): $8,700 at Detroit Lions
Lock him up.
Myles Gaskin (MIA): $6,000 vs. Kansas City Chiefs
Gaskin’s return to the Dolphins’ starting lineup has picked up right where he left off.
I just noticed that KC is 30th in rush DVOA. Hello "just got 5 touches inside the 5 yard line last game, had 73 carries and 14 targets over his last 4 games and is $5600" Myles Gaskin.

While Hodge’s tweet references Draftkings pricing, the meat and potatoes are what we are focusing on here for Gaskin. Priced as the RB25 in what should be a high scoring game (current total is set at 50.5), Gaskin surely will be utilized this weekend. Last week in his return he accounted for 71% of the offensive snaps which is right around where he was for the first seven games of the season. He is also a candidate for some severe positive regression.
Myles Gaskin is seventh among all non-QB with 20 opportunities inside of the 10-yard line, yet ranks 72nd in fantasy points in that area of the field (17.8).

Other notables: Derrick Henry (TEN): $9,600 @ JAC; Austin Ekeler (LAC): $7,500 vs. ATL; J.D. McKissic (WAS): $5,300 @ SF
Wide Receivers
Allen Robinson (CHI): $7,000 vs. Houston Texans
Mitch Trubisky might still be Mitch Trubisky, but he’s making Robinson into an alpha receiver once again. This week Robinson gets to feast on Vernon Hargreaves and company. The Texans have allowed six different receivers this season to top 100 receiving yards. Over the last four games, Robinson has 38 targets and 27 catches. While his yardage and receiving touchdowns have been less than desirable, this week offers a chance to get right. Hargreaves, who should be seeing plenty of Robinson, has allowed the third-most receiving yards this season and the 11th most receptions.
D.K. Metcalf (SEA): $8,600 vs. New York Jets
If you have an answer for how the Jets are going to be able to stop Metcalf in the passing game, please feel free to let them know ASAP. The Jets rank 30th in DVOA against opposing WR1’s. Metcalf is averaging 93.3 yards per game and now gets to line up across the field from rookie corner Lamar Jackson. In Jackson’s five starts for the Jets, he has allowed five touchdowns, a 136.7 passer rating when targeted, and 10.1 yards per target. Woooooooof.
Other notables: Keenan Allen (LAC): $8,500 vs. ATL; Julio Jones (ATL): $7,600 @ LAC; Mike Evans (TB): $7,300 vs. MIN
Tight Ends
Jordan Akins (HOU): $5,000 at Chicago Bears
The pricing is right here for Akins and the matchup is about as good as can be. The Bears rank 20th in DVOA against tight ends according to Football Outsiders. Since Week 7 the Bears have allowed six different tight ends to score touchdowns. Last week against the Colts, Akins led the Texan’s tight ends with 70% of the offensive snaps. Given the injuries to the Texan’s wide receiver corps, expect Akins to continue to play a high volume of snaps and get an opportunity in the passing game.
Jordan Reed (SF): $5,000 vs. Washington Football Team
Revenge game narrative? Check. Washington ranked 26th in DVOA against tight ends? Check. Opportunity? Check.
Over the last three weeks, Reed is third on the team in targets and actually leads the 49ers in air yards over that time period. He has a healthy 14% target share over that time period. The Football Team has been stout against opposing running backs which should force the 49ers to have to exploit the few areas of weakness that they have defensively.
Other notables: Hunter Henry (LAC): $5,600 vs. ATL; T.J. Hockenson (DET): $6,000 vs. GB
Defense/Special Teams
Dallas Cowboys D/ST: $3,500 @ Cincinnati Bengals
This weekend has some tough decisions whether you want to pay up for a defense or not. If not, the Cowboys might be a solid option going against a Bengals offense that has struggled to protect their quarterback(s) all season. The Bengals have not topped 17 points since their bye week. Over those last four games, they’ve been sacked 16 times and have thrown four interceptions, and fumbled five times.
New York Giants D/ST: $3,700 vs. Arizona Cardinals
What’s gotten into the water in the NFC East lately? The Giants and Football Team both look like their early 1990’s selves on defense. The Cardinals have been a mess lately on offense and there are potentially a few different reasons. Aside from Kyler Murray’s injury to his shoulder, head coach Kliff Kingsbury hasn’t exactly been the innovative genius many wanted to brand him as early on.
Other notables: New Orleans Saints D/ST: $4,900 @ PHI
