NFL DFS Stacking Options for Week 15

NFL DFS Stacking Options for Week 15

Hard to believe it is already mid-December with the holiday season upon us, snow flying and only three weeks left of the NFL regular season. There are a few marquee matchups this week with potent offensives in play, and you will definitely want to stack some key players from those games, including the Patriots/Steelers, Packers/Panthers, and Rams/Seahawks. I’ll give my favorite pairings for a couple of those matchup along with some less obvious options for Week 15.

These are my top stacks for the week so fire up a GPP lineup or two and plug them in along with your other favorite plays.

Note: All salaries are from FanDuel but stacks can be considered for any DFS site.

So, with that let’s stack’em up for Week 15.

QB Tom Brady (NE): $8,800 / TE Rob Gronkowski (NE): $8,500
We should be in for a show on Sunday afternoon when the Patriots travel to Pittsburgh. Tom Brady is coming off a bad game against the Dolphins and Rob Gronkowski sat out due to suspension so both of them should be primed for a big bounce-back game. Gronkowski has smashed the Steelers in his career averaging six receptions for just under 100 yards and 1.6 TDs in five previous meetings. The Steelers’ offense should be able to put up points with Antonio Brown and company as well, so while it will be a very chalky game to stack look to be contrarian someplace else.

Bring it back with: Antonio Brown (PIT): $9,300

QB Cam Newton (CAR): $7,900 / RB Christian McCaffrey (CAR): $6,900 / WR Devin Funchess (CAR): $7,300
With the impending return of Aaron Rodgers to the Packers’ this week drawing a lot of attention, I’m more interested in the other side with Cam Newton and his primary pass catchers against a Packers’ defense that has allowed 263 passing yards and 2.2 TD passes per game over the last five weeks. Pass-catching RBs have had great success against the Packers over the last five weeks with a league-high eight receptions for 62 yards per game and now they face one of the premier pass-catching backs in the league with rookie Christian McCaffrey. Devin Funchess also has a very favorable matchup against a banged-up Packers’ secondary. Finally, I’ll bring it back with Davante Adams instead of the much talked about Jordy Nelson. Adams actually had more catches and yards than Nelson during the first five weeks of the season with Rodgers at QB and only had two fewer TDs.

Bring it back with: Davante Adams (GB): $7,300

QB Blake Bortles (JAC): $7,400 / WR Dede Westbrook (JAC): $5,700 / DEF Jacksonville Jaguars: $5,900
The Jaguars’ passing attack could be in an excellent position to succeed this week in a favorable matchup against the Texans and potentially without their lead RB Leonard Fournette who hasn’t practiced all week and is questionable. Bortles has played very well the last two weeks averaging 288 passing yards with two touchdown passes in each game. Meanwhile, Dede Westbrook has totaled 33 targets over the last four weeks while posting 20 catches for 235 yards and a score, yet his salary remains very reasonable. Instead of bringing the QB/WR stack back with a player from the Texans, look to go all-in on the Jaguars and include their top-ranked defense with the salary you saved from the cheap stack.

Bring it back with:  None

RB Alvin Kamara (NO): $9,100 / RB Mark Ingram (NO): $8,300 / DEF New Orleans Saints: $4,600
This one could get ugly early! The Saints are huge 16-point favorites at home against the Jets who just lost QB Josh McCown, forcing them to trot out Bryce Petty. Early indications are that Alvin Kamara will be cleared from his concussion and play this week, so while he might only get 10-15 touches that should be plenty for him to put up another big game. I’m looking to double-down on the Saints backfield by also pairing Kamara with Mark Ingram as there have been numerous weeks where the duo was worth rostering in the same lineup. Tack on the Saints’ defense playing at home against the aforementioned Petty who has thrown seven interceptions in just 142 career pass attempts.

RB Alex Collins (BAL): $6,600 / DEF Baltimore Ravens: $5,000
If you look at the Browns defense rankings against opposing RBs this season (1st DVOA against the run according to Football Outsiders) you wouldn’t think that using Alex Collins was a good idea. However, the Ravens should have a positive game script for the running game and the Browns’ run defense hasn’t been nearly as good over the last four weeks where they have allowed an opposing RBs to top 100 total yards in each game while giving up a total of three scores. Collins has been on a roll recently with touchdowns in four straight games while averaging 98 total yards per game during that stretch. The Ravens defense doesn’t take as much convincing to play as the Browns have allowed 3.6 sacks (30th) and 2.2 turnovers (29th) per game over the last five weeks.
