DRAFT NFL Lineup Advice: Week 15 (Thu/Sat/Sun/Mon)

DRAFT NFL Lineup Advice: Week 15 (Thu/Sat/Sun/Mon)

In Week 14, Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown were perched atop the positional rankings and they came through in a big way. Bell scored three touchdowns and led the slate with 35 fantasy points.

This week, we have our final Thursday night game (I’m avoiding all players from Broncos/Colts) and the start of Saturday games (you can likely avoid those games, too).

Now, on to the Week 15 rankings…

Quarterback

1. Russell Wilson, Seahawks (vs. Rams)
2. Tom Brady, Patriots (@ Steelers)
3. Cam Newton, Panthers (vs. Packers)
4. Aaron Rodgers, Packers (@ Panthers)
5. Drew Brees, Saints (vs. Jets)
6. Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers (vs. Patriots)
7. Philip Rivers, Chargers (@ Chiefs)
8. Dak Prescott, Cowboys (@ Raiders)
9. Matthew Stafford, Lions (vs. Bears)
10. Matt Ryan, Falcons (@ Buccaneers)

Russell Wilson and Tom Brady have been toward the top of the rankings on a weekly basis. However, one name who has fluctuated all season is Cam Newton. He faces a Packers secondary that has allowed at least two TD passes in three-straight games (Ben Roethlisberger, Jameis Winson, and DeShone Kizer).

I’d also like to welcome back Mr. Rodgers to the DRAFT rankings. He’s on the other side of the matchup against Newton’s Panthers. Prior to his injury, Rodgers threw at least three TDs in three-straight games.

Running back

1. Le’Veon Bell, Steelers (vs. Patriots)
2. Alvin Kamara, Saints (vs. Jets)
3. Leonard Fournette, Jaguars (vs. Texans)
4. LeSean McCoy, Bills (vs. Dolphins)
5. Mark Ingram, Saints (vs. Jets)
6. Todd Gurley, Rams (@ Seahawks)
7. Melvin Gordon, Chargers (@ Chiefs)
8. Devonta Freeman, Falcons (@ Buccaneers)
9. Jamaal Williams, Packers (@ Panthers)
10. Jordan Howard, Bears (@ Lions)
11. Kareem Hunt, Chiefs (vs. Chargers)
12. Carlos Hyde, 49ers (vs. Titans)
13. Kenyan Drake, Dolphins (@ Bills)
14. Alex Collins, Ravens (@ Browns)
15. Samaje Perine, Redskins (vs. Cardinals)
16. Marshawn Lynch, Raiders (vs. Cowboys)
17. Christian McCaffrey, Panthers (vs. Packers)
18. Rex Burkhead, Patriots (@ Steelers)
19. Lamar Miller, Texans (@ Jaguars)
20. Alfred Morris, Cowboys (@ Raiders)

Those with Alvin Kamara had a disappointing Week 14 after he left the game in the first drive with a concussion. On the bright side, it was a Thursday game and he’s had time to recover. Also, his recent injury might scare other drafters away from selecting him this week.

There are plenty of options from the RB rankings. Kenyan Drake, Devonta Freeman, and Jordan Howard all have great matchups and could be available with your last RB choice in three-entry contests. The Bills (Drake), Lions (Howard), and Bucs (Freeman) are all in the bottom 10 in regards to defending the opposing team’s running back.

Wide receiver/Tight end

1. Antonio Brown, Steelers (vs. Patriots)
2. Julio Jones, Falcons (@ Buccaneers)
3. Keenan Allen, Chargers (@ Chiefs)
4. Michael Thomas, Saints (vs. Jets)
5. Adam Thielen, Vikings (vs. Bengals)
6. A.J. Green, Bengals (@ Vikings)
7. DeAndre Hopkins, Texans (@ Jaguars)
8. Doug Baldwin, Seahawks (vs. Rams)
9. Devin Funchess, Panthers (vs. Packers)
10. Rob Gronkowski, Patriots (@ Steelers)
11. Davante Adams, Packers (@ Panthers)
12. Dez Bryant, Cowboys (@ Raiders)
13. Brandin Cooks, Patriots (@ Steelers)
14. Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals (@ Redskins)
15. Jordy Nelson, Packers (@ Panthers)
16. Tyreek Hill, Chiefs (vs. Chargers)
17. Michael Crabtree, Raiders (vs. Cowboys)
18. Zach Ertz, Eagles (@ Giants)
19. Mike Evans, Buccaneers (vs. Falcons)
20. Marvin Jones Jr., Lions (vs. Bears)

This week, don’t let the big names fool you, their matchups are tough. Even Antonio Brown has only scored one TD in the past three meetings against the Patriots (three meetings since September 2015). DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green also have less than favorable opponents.

For safer options, look to the 2-5 portion of the rankings.

In deeper drafts, keep Devin Funchess in mind. He’s scored four touchdowns in the past four weeks. Also, the Packers secondary has allowed five TDs to opposing wide receivers in the past three weeks.
