Week 14 Target Analysis (2019 Fantasy Football)

Week 14 Target Analysis (2019 Fantasy Football)

Week 14 of the NFL season saw a couple more NFL teams punch their tickets for the NFL Playoffs. New Orleans was the first team to clinch a division title back on Thanksgiving evening when they beat the Atlanta Falcons to clinch the NFC South. This week, the Kansas City Chiefs joined them as the champions of the AFC West, and the Baltimore Ravens clinched a playoff berth with a win at Buffalo. Several more teams have a chance to clinch a playoff berth this week as the NFL season has only three weeks left.

That also means that everyone should be done with the fantasy regular season, and the fantasy playoffs are now upon us. That makes the next two weeks the most important of the fantasy football season. Fantasy owners will need to know the trends of every passing offense at this crucial point of the season. Here is a look at how all 32 NFL teams distributed the ball in their passing game. If you would like to see how every player has been targeted this year, check out FantasyPros’ Most Targeted Players.

Arizona Cardinals: QB Kyler Murray continues to learn on the job in his rookie season, and he did not have a ton of success in Week 14 against a tough Steelers D. Murray was 20 for 30 with just 194 yards passing, two touchdowns, three picks, and a QB rating of 67.2. WR Christian Kirk led the way with nine targets, eight receptions, 85 yards, but no touchdowns. RB David Johnson added two targets, two receptions, 34 yards, and one touchdown. No other Cardinal player had more than 30-yards receiving, and the only other receiving touchdown went to TE Charles Clay. The Steelers have one of the best defenses in the NFL, so it was not a surprise that the Cardinals did not have a lot of success throwing the ball. The Cardinals do have a home game against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, who rank eighth in passing yards allowed. This will be another tough matchup for Murray to shine.  Kirk is probably the only wide receiver or tight end worth playing, but he has only found the end zone three times this season, all in Week 10 against a poor Tampa Bay Buccaneers D.

Atlanta Falcons: The Atlanta offense had one of their best games of the season, but playing the Carolina Panthers at home can do that for a team. QB Matt Ryan had 313 yards passing on just 34 passing attempts for two touchdowns and no picks in a 40-20 victory. The problem from a fantasy perspective is that WR Olamide Zaccheaus had one reception on two targets for 93 yards and one touchdown. The next best wide receiver was WR Calvin Ridley with five receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. He is done for the season now with an abdomen injury. WR Julio Jones had just five receptions for 66 yards, and TE Austin Hooper had two receptions for 32 yards. It is a little disheartening that a team can score that many points, and Ryan can have that many passing yards, but the two best players on the offense do not find the end zone or top 70-yards receiving. They have a tough matchup at the San Francisco 49ers D in Week 15 that will be looking to rebound from a torching in New Orleans. Jones and Hooper could see an uptick in targets, especially with Ridley done for the season. I do not think I would trust anyone else in the passing game in this matchup because the 49ers are normally a very stout pass defense.

Baltimore Ravens: The Bills contained QB Lamar Jackson on the ground with 11 rushes for 40 yards, but the Ravens still prevailed thanks to 145 yards passing and three passing touchdowns by Jackson. The problem is that TE Hayden Hurst hogged all the action at tight end with three targets, three receptions, 73 yards, and one touchdown. The normally reliable TE Mark Andrews had one reception for 14 yards, and WR Willie Snead and TE Nick Boyle scored the other two touchdowns. WR Marquise Brown actually had three receptions for negative two yards. As I have written all season, Jackson is an MVP candidate and among the most dominant players in the NFL, but as this week showed, the floor can be below the floor for the skill position players in this passing game. Brown managed to tally negative yards, which is not a normal occurrence for the top deep threat in most NFL passing offenses. Jackson is dealing with a quad injury, which may limit his rushing ability. He is expected to be out there against the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football.

Buffalo Bills: Bills QB Josh Allen really struggled to find his way this week, as he was 17 for 39 for 146 yards, one touchdown, no picks, and a QB rating of 62.6 at home against the Baltimore Ravens tough pass defense. He also struggled with pressure, as he was sacked six times for negative 41 yards. The only player to top 30-yards receiving was TE Dawson Knox with one reception for 37 yards, and WR Cole Beasley was second on the team with 29 yards receiving. He scored the only receiving touchdown. They have another brutal matchup at the Pittsburgh Steelers, followed by a road game in New England. The Bills passing game is probably not going to be very relevant in the fantasy playoffs. WR John Brown could bounce back this week, but he has not been able to top 40-yards receiving in his last three games, and he has not scored a touchdown in his last two games.

Carolina Panthers: QB Kyle Allen was not very impressive in a favorable matchup at Atlanta, going 28 for 41 with 293 yards, one passing touchdown, two picks, and a QB rating of 76.6. Most of the passes went to RB Christian McCaffrey and TE Ian Thomas. McCaffrey had 12 targets, 11 receptions, 82 yards, and no touchdowns. Thomas had 10 targets, five receptions, 57 yards, and one touchdown. The only other player that had any production in the passing game was WR D.J. Moore with six targets, four receptions, 81 yards, and no touchdowns. The Panthers are playing out the string at this point, and the floor is very low for this offense, with the exception of McCaffrey and Moore. The Panthers have a tough home matchup against a Seattle Seahawks team looking to rebound from a tough loss at the Los Angeles Rams.

Chicago Bears: QB Mitchell Trubisky followed up 338 yards passing and three touchdowns in Detroit with 244 yards and three more touchdowns against the Dallas Cowboys. That is a good sign for an offense that had 13 passing touchdowns in their first 10 games of the season. TE J.P. Holtz actually led the team in receiving yards with three targets, three receptions, and 56 yards. WR Allen Robinson was next with eight targets, five receptions, 48 yards, and two touchdowns. The other touchdown went to WR Anthony Miller, who finished with four targets, three receptions, and 42 yards. Nobody else had more than 40-yards receiving on the night. This offense will have a tough test on the road at Green Bay. Trubisky had only 228 yards, no touchdowns, and one pick at home against Green Bay in the season opener.

Cincinnati Bengals: QB Andy Dalton was just 22 for 38 with 262 yards receiving, no touchdowns, one pick, and a QB rating of 68.1. WR Tyler Boyd led the way with six targets, five receptions, and 75 yards receiving. Four players were able to have more than 30-yards receiving, but none of those players had more than 50-yards receiving. It was a pretty lackluster day for one of the most anemic passing offenses in the NFL. WR Auden Tate was put on IR this week, which means that there should be even more targets for Boyd. Things will not be easy in Week 15 when the New England Patriots come to town. I do not know if I would even trust Boyd in that matchup, the Patriots may be struggling on offense, but they still have the best scoring and yardage defense in the NFL.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns may have beaten the Bengals 27-19, but QB Baker Mayfield did very little in the passing game. He was 11 for 24 with 192 yards passing, no passing touchdowns, two picks, and a QB rating of 38.9. WR Jarvis Landry led the way with seven targets, four receptions, and 76 yards. WR Odell Beckham Jr. added five targets, two receptions, and 39 yards. There are reports that he is playing with a sports hernia injury, which would really cap his upside in fantasy football for the remainder of the season. One has to wonder if they shut him down if they are eliminated from playoff contention this week. Finally, TE David Njoku had just three targets, one reception, and four yards in his return from IR. This continues to be an offense that has problems moving the football through the air, and their best players in the offense have an extremely low floor. They have a great matchup at Arizona in Week 15, but it is hard to trust one of the most inconsistent offenses in the NFL. Landry maybe the only player worth putting out there in the passing game this week.

Dallas Cowboys: Prescott was not very efficient on Thursday Night Football, completing 27 of 49 passes for 334 yards, one touchdown, no picks, and a QB rating of 83.2. Efficiency does not always matter in fantasy football, though, and their best players had some good fantasy totals in the passing game. WR Michael Gallup led the way with 10 targets, six receptions, 109 yards, and no touchdowns. WR Amari Cooper added eight targets, six receptions, 83 yards, and one touchdown. The only other player with 50-yards receiving was TE Blake Jarwin, who had seven targets, six receptions, and 50 yards receiving. The Cowboys look like they have moved on to the 2020 offseason in spirit, so it is hard to trust this offense at this point. Cooper and Gallup still seem to be safe options on an offense that is moving the ball through the air. Everyone else is a toss-up on an offense that has lacked an identity or rhythm in the last few weeks. The Cowboys have a tough home game against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 15.

Denver Broncos: QB Drew Lock had an unexpectedly great game in Houston, going 22 for 27 with 309 yards, three touchdown passes, one pick, and a QB rating of 136.0. TE Noah Fant had four targets, four receptions, 113 yards, and one touchdown. WR Courtland Sutton was quiet with only five receptions for 34 yards and no touchdowns. Those are still the only good fantasy plays on the team. The touchdowns other than Fant’s went to TE Jeff Heuerman and RB Royce Freeman, who are not reliable fantasy options in the passing game most weeks. The Broncos have the Kansas City Chiefs on the road next week. Sutton should be a bounce-back candidate in Week 15, and Fant could end up being a nice streaming option again this week. Lock has started his career strong with two wins, but he is still a rookie, and the floor can be incredibly low if the rookie starts seeing ghosts against a defense that recorded eight sacks against QB Joe Flacco the last time these teams met in Denver in Week 7.

Detroit Lions: The problem that QB David Blough found this week is that the Vikings had a full week to game plan for him and they had footage of the things he did well against the Bears and the things he struggled with in the passing game. The Vikings game plan did a good job of slowing him down, as the Lions scored their only touchdown in the fourth quarter with the game out of hand. Blough had 205 yards passing, one passing touchdown, and two picks. WR Kenny Golladay led the way with eight targets, six receptions, 58 yards and a touchdown that came with just a little over two minutes left in the game. Nobody else on the team had more than 40-yards receiving. Golladay is the only player I would trust in this passing game with QB Matthew Stafford unlikely to return this year. WR Marvin Jones was placed on injured reserve, which takes him away as a fantasy option. The Lions face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Even in a great matchup against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL, it would be hard to trust the Lions offense in that game with the exception of Golladay. Even he has a very low floor in that great matchup.

Green Bay Packers: The Packers were a major dud in fantasy in Week 14, as QB Aaron Rodgers was just 18 for 28 with 195 yards passing, one passing touchdown, no picks, and a QB rating of 96.6. They beat Washington only 20-15 at home, and they scored only six points in the final three-quarters of the game. Backup TE Robert Tonyan had the only receiving touchdown of the game. RB Aaron Jones led the team with six receptions for 58 yards. WR Davante Adams struggled with six targets, four receptions, and 41 yards. It will be hard to trust the Packers passing game at home against Chicago next week. The Packers have a great chance to win that game, but continue to be a rollercoaster in the passing game. Rodgers had only 203 yards passing and one passing touchdown against the Bears in the opener, and it might be asking a lot to expect more from him the second time around.

Houston Texans: Houston had one of the most pathetic performances of any team this season. The 38-24 score is not indicative of what happened to them in this game. The Texans actually trailed 38-3 in this game before scoring three meaningless touchdowns in the second half, and this was against a Denver team that had won only four games this season and was starting rookie QB Drew Lock for just the second time this season. QB Deshaun Watson was 28 of 50 for 292 yards, one touchdown, two picks, and a QB rating of 63.1. He also had two meaningless fourth-quarter rushing touchdowns that saved his fantasy day. WR DeAndre Hopkins led the way with 13 targets, seven receptions, 120 yards, and one touchdown. WR Keke Coutee added eight targets, five receptions, 68 yards, and no touchdowns. No other player had more than 50-yards receiving. The Texans appeared to have a letdown between a great victory over New England and a road matchup at Tennessee. They should be a better fantasy offense next week, but with WR Will Fuller having hamstring issues again, Hopkins is really the only safe receiving option in their passing game.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts had an offensive explosion on Sunday against a bad Tampa Bay Buccaneers D, but Colts QB Jacoby Brissett still had only 251 yards passing and two passing touchdowns. WR Marcus Johnson had seven targets, three receptions, 105 yards, and one touchdown, and WR Zach Pascal had nine targets, five receptions, 74 yards, and one touchdown. Those two could have some good value at New Orleans, especially if WR T.Y. Hilton continues to miss time. It appears that is likely, as the Colts would be foolish to rush him back with the season likely over at this point. TE Jack Doyle could have value too, but he disappointed in this great matchup with six targets, two receptions, and 27 yards receiving. The problem is the floor is incredibly low for anyone involved in this passing offense, even in another potential shootout at the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football.

Jacksonville Jaguars: QB Gardner Minshew II did not do much in this game with just 162 yards passing, one passing touchdown, no picks, and a QB rating of 83.4. The Jaguars became the first team since the 1986 Tampa Bay Buccaneers to lose five straight games by 17 or more points. This team is down early and often, yet they really do not put up much production in the passing game as of late. WR D.J. Chark led the way with 10 targets, nine receptions, 75 yards, and no touchdowns. TE Nick O’Leary added five targets, four receptions, 30 yards, and one touchdown. Nobody else had more than 25-yards receiving, and even though they have a great matchup at the Oakland Raiders, it is hard to trust a team that appears to have mailed it in for the season. Chark has some appeal with his vertical speed, and maybe WR Dede Westbrook can do more than 25 yards receiving this week.

Kansas City Chiefs: QB Patrick Mahomes II was not great on Sunday in terms of fantasy, but nobody expected a big game against the New England Patriots on the road. He showed well with 283 yards passing, one passing touchdown, one pick, and a QB rating of 83.6. TE Travis Kelce led the way with seven receptions for 66 yards, WR Tyreek Hill added six receptions for 66 yards, and WR Sammy Watkins had four receptions for 50 yards. WR Mecole Hardman had the only touchdown on a 48-yard reception. It was a tough spot for fantasy owners to have the Chiefs offense face New England on the road at the most important time of the year. Luckily none of the star players had an absolutely dreadful game, and things should improve this week at home against the Denver Broncos. I would trust the Chiefs big players in this game, the last time these teams played the Chiefs beat the Broncos 30-6.

Los Angeles Chargers: QB Philip Rivers was on fire with 314 yards passing on just 22 pass attempts for 314 yards passing, three passing touchdowns, no picks, and a QB rating of 154.4. RB Austin Ekeler led the way with five targets, four receptions, 112 yards, and one touchdown. WR Mike Williams found the end zone for the first time this year, and TE Hunter Henry also found the end zone. WR Keenan Allen was their best receiver with six targets, five receptions, and 83 yards. This game saw the Chargers jump out to a huge lead early, and they never looked back in a 45-10 road victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. I would not chase this game because this seemed like an outlier against a Jacksonville team that appears to be planning for the 2020 offseason. The Chargers return home for a tough test against the Minnesota Vikings. Allen, Henry, and Ekeler should be decent options in the passing game, but I am not sure I would trust Williams to find the end zone again or have a huge fantasy week.

Los Angeles Rams: The Rams were not perfect in the passing game on Sunday Night Football, but QB Jared Goff looked much better against a quality opponent than he did the last time he played a meaningful nationally televised game. He was 22 for 31 with 293 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, no picks, and a QB rating of 95.2. TE Tyler Higbee has done a great job filling in for the injured TE Gerald Everett. Higbee had 11 targets, nine receptions, 116 yards, and no touchdowns in the victory. WR Robert Woods had nine targets, seven receptions, 98 yards, and one touchdown. WR Cooper Kupp added four targets, four receptions, 45 yards, and one touchdown. WR Brandin Cooks continued to be a non-factor with two targets, no receptions, and no yards. Woods and Kupp are the only wide receivers I would trust in this passing game, and Higbee should continue to be a good streamer, especially if Everett is not active. The Rams travel to Dallas to play a Cowboys team that has lost four of their last five games.

Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins were not able to keep up their solid offensive ways from Week 13, as QB Ryan Fitzpatrick had just 245 yards passing, no passing touchdowns, and only one interception. WR DeVante Parker had a down performance with two receptions for 28 yards. That was largely due to a concussion in the second quarter that caused him to leave the game. TE Mike Gesicki also played poorly, earning just one reception for six yards. Those two players not having big numbers led to WR Isaiah Ford becoming a player to watch with nine targets, six receptions, 92 yards, and no touchdowns. It could be tempting to chase Ford’s game by claiming him off waivers and playing him against the New York Giants, especially if Parker cannot gain clearance to play this week. Keep in mind that Ford had two receptions for nine yards on the season before that game. He could also become a non-factor against the Giants, even if Parker cannot go this week. I would probably search for more reliable options.

Minnesota Vikings: From a fantasy standpoint, Minnesota was pretty disappointing with QB Kirk Cousins going 24 for 30 with 242 yards passing, one passing touchdown, no picks, and a QB rating of 111.4. Their running game was dreadfully inefficient, with 39 carries for 120 yards and one touchdown. They basically did not have to take any chances with the Lions playing a third-string quarterback, and they played it safe in a 20-7 victory. That was good for their team, but fantasy owners saw the only touchdown go to WR Bisi Johnson. WR Stefon Diggs was the only player to top 50-yards receiving, finishing with nine targets, six receptions, and 92 yards. The Vikings have a tough road matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers D. Even if WR Adam Thielen is cleared this week, it would be difficult to trust him in a fantasy playoff game after a lengthy absence against a tough Chargers D. Diggs as a low-upside WR2 and TE Kyle Rudolph as a streaming tight end are about the only players I would trust in the passing game this week.

New England Patriots: This offense keeps finding ways to hit rock bottom. They showed that they are more a collection of gimmicks and trick plays than an actual NFL offense this season. QB Tom Brady had only 169 yards passing, one passing touchdown, one pick, and a QB rating of 63.3. WR Julian Edelman led the way with 12 targets, eight receptions, 95 yards, and one touchdown. Nobody else eclipsed 40-yards receiving. They just do not have anyone to stretch the field vertically, and they do not have anyone at the tight end spot to stretch the middle of the field. It is a collection of scat backs and slot receivers in the passing game with a 42-year old quarterback that looks like age has finally taken its toll. I am not writing off the Patriots in the playoffs because they have shown they can pull a rabbit out of a hat after a poor December too many times before, and their defense will give them a shot to win any postseason game. From a fantasy perspective, there is not much to love in the passing game other than Edelman.

New Orleans Saints: QB Drew Brees lit up one of the best passing defenses in the NFL with 349 passing yards and five passing touchdowns in a 48-46 loss to the San Francisco 49ers. WR Michael Thomas was dominant with 15 targets, 11 receptions, 134 yards, and one touchdown. TE Jared Cook had to leave the game with a concussion, but not before he had two receptions for 64 yards and two touchdowns. He might not be able to go this week, though, so fantasy owners will need to keep an eye on that development. WR Tre’Quan Smith and TE Josh Hill scored the other passing touchdowns. WR Ted Ginn had six targets, four receptions, and 50 yards receiving. It is hard to take a lot from an outlier game like this, but the Saints are capable of scoring points in bunches, and they have a good home matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 15. WR Michael Thomas will continue to be a slam-dunk WR1, but the other players can be hit or miss in the passing game, depending on whether the game becomes a shootout or if the Saints are able to commit to the running game and take the air out of the football.

New York Giants: QB Daniel Jones is dealing with a high ankle sprain and the Giants would probably be best to shut him down for the rest of the regular season and let QB Eli Manning have a final swan song in a two-win season with nothing to play for the rest of the way. Manning actually looked good in the first half, as they built a 17-3 lead, but they were shutout in the second half. Manning was 15 for 30 with 203 yards, two passing touchdowns, no picks, and a QB rating of 94.2. The only wide receiver that had any fantasy value was WR Darius Slayton. He finished with eight receptions, five receptions, 154 yards, and two touchdowns. No other player had more than 30-yards receiving. Manning is going to be bad news for this passing offense in fantasy, but he did show there are still a few plays left in his arm. They have a favorable matchup in Week 15 at home against the Miami Dolphins, but Manning does cap the upside of their offense in that favorable matchup.

New York Jets: QB Sam Darnold had 270 yards passing and two passing touchdowns in a win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 14. WR Robby Anderson continues to have a strong finish to the season, as he had 11 targets, 116 yards, and one touchdown. WR Demaryius Thomas had the other touchdown, but no player had more than 40-yards receiving. One player that is limping toward the finish line of the 2019 season is WR Jamison Crowder. He now has 56 yards receiving in his last three games. Anderson continues to be the featured receiver in this offense to close the season. He has had back-to-back 100-yard receiving games, and he has 18 receptions, 303 yards, and two receiving touchdowns in his last three games. The Jets have a road date with the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football. At this point, I think Anderson is the only one you can trust in this matchup, and even he has a low floor on the road against a tough Ravens D.

Oakland Raiders: The Raiders were able to hang with the Tennessee Titans for a half, as they were tied 21-21 at the break. That changed in the second half and they lost 42-21. It is their third straight loss by more than 17-points, and the wheels have officially fallen off the wagon for the Raiders in 2019. QB Derek Carr had 263 yards passing and two passing touchdowns in the loss. TE Darren Waller led the way with 73 yards receiving, but unfortunately for fantasy owners, the touchdowns went to backup TE Foster Moreau and WR Rico Gafford. WR Tyrell Williams continues to struggle with four targets, three reception, and 35 yards. The Raiders have a great matchup against a Jacksonville team that has made being blown out a weekly occurrence, but the Raiders are barely functioning themselves. All bets are off between two teams that specialize in losing by a lot of points.

Philadelphia Eagles: Philadelphia was able to barely beat a two-win New York Giants team on Monday Night Football, winning the game 23-17 in overtime. They are at a point where they may need to sign a street free agent to take the field with WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and WR Greg Ward Jr. WR Alshon Jeffery is headed to injured reserve, and there are just not many wide receivers available to them on their roster. They are likely to keep targeting their two tight ends and running backs heavily. TE Zach Ertz led the way with 13 targets, nine receptions, 91 yards, and two touchdowns. RB Boston Scott added six targets, six receptions, and 69 yards. TE Dallas Goedert added three receptions for 41 yards on six targets. The Eagles have another great matchup with Washington in Week 15, but the floor is low with all the injuries at wide receiver. They also had a great matchup against the Giants, and they had only three points in the first half.

Pittsburgh Steelers: QB Devlin Hodges was extremely efficient, going 16 for 19 with 152 yards passing, one passing touchdown, no picks, and a QB rating of 117.5. That does not equate to much in fantasy football, and the only player with more than 50-yards receiving or a touchdown was WR Diontae Johnson. He had eight targets, six receptions, 60 yards receiving, and the only receiving touchdown of the game. He also had an 85-yard punt return for a touchdown. The problem is the week before Johnson had five targets, one reception, and 14 yards. This is an offense that throws the ball as little as possible, and it cannot be trusted in fantasy for consistent production.  This team is in playoff contention because they have one of the best big-play defenses in the league.

San Francisco 49ers: The 49ers are not a team that you think of winning a shootout on the road in New Orleans, but they did just that winning 48-46 and QB Jimmy Garoppolo tallied 349 yards passing and four passing touchdowns with just one pick. WR Emmanuel Sanders led the way with nine targets, seven receptions, 157 yards, and one touchdown. He also threw a touchdown. TE George Kittle and RB Raheem Mostert both found the end zone, and WR Kendrick Bourne scored twice. The 49ers could be poised for another big game against the Atlanta Falcons at home, but I would probably not chase this game. Sanders and Kittle are obvious starting options in fantasy, and WR Deebo Samuel is also a decent option, as he had five receptions for 76 yards, and he continues to have a weekly role that generates some good fantasy production. The rest of the players probably benefited from an outlier score, and I would not go chasing that game, even against a bad defense like the Atlanta Falcons. The 49ers could easily revert to running the football and playing good defense, which would create a very low floor for the role players that had an offensive explosion in this unexpected shootout game.

Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks did not do much on Sunday Night Football in the passing game. The game started horribly for them, as RB Rashaad Penny was lost for the season with a knee injury on his only reception of the game. QB Russell Wilson finished with 245 yards passing, and no passing touchdowns and the only player to finish with more than 50-yards receiving was WR D.K. Metcalf. He tallied six targets, six receptions, and 78 yards. WR Tyler Lockett continued his struggles with six targets, four receptions, 43 yards, and no touchdowns. The Seahawks have a great rebound game in Carolina against a team that gave up 40 points to the Atlanta Falcons last week. The only issue is that Lockett has been so unreliable the last month, that fantasy owners are going to have to decide if they stick with him or look in another direction. He could have a breakout game in a great matchup, or he could have another dud game in what has been a lackluster end to the season.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: The Tampa Bay passing game took a major hit with WR Mike Evans expected to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring injury. QB Jameis Winston had another big game with Evans having only one reception for 61 yards and one touchdown before leaving with the injury. Winston finished with 456 yards passing, four passing touchdowns, and three picks. WR Breshad Perriman, WR Justin Watson, and TE Cameron Brate joined Evans in the end zone, and WR Chris Godwin led the team with nine targets, seven receptions, 91 yards, and no touchdowns. Godwin should have a monster game this week against a bad Detroit Lions secondary. Perriman could be worth a waiver wire claim with Evans gone for the year and WR Scotty Miller battling a hamstring injury.

Tennessee Titans: The Titans excelled in the passing game in Week 14 with QB Ryan Tannehill posting 391 yards passing on just 27 passing attempts in a 42-21 win at the Oakland Raiders. It is still an offense that does not really spread the ball around to a lot of different targets. WR A.J. Brown led the way with five receptions, 153 yards, and two touchdowns. TE Jonnu Smith scored the other receiving touchdown. No other player had more than 50-yards receiving, and WR Corey Davis was largely quiet in this game with two receptions for 34 yards on just four targets. The Titans have a must-win game against the Houston Texans this week. Brown has emerged as the receiver to own in this offense, and Smith does have some streaming appeal as a tight end. Davis has a very low floor on an offense that is still built around RB Derrick Henry running the ball between the tackles.

Washington Redskins: It is no surprise that Washington struggled to pass the ball at Green Bay, as QB Dwayne Haskins had just 176 yards passing, one passing touchdown, and one pick. WR Terry McLaurin led the way with seven targets, four receptions, 57 yards, and one receiving touchdown. He is their only player in the passing game worth playing in fantasy, and even he is a very dicey play. Only four players caught passes in this game, and nobody other than McLaurin had 50-yards receiving. Washington heads home to face the New York Giants. The floor is incredibly low for everyone in this passing game, even one as bad as the New York Giants.
